I hear you. I probably have 10 years on you and just did all the shocks & springs on mine. I just took my time, didn't rush, or beat myself up. When I was younger I was quicker, but dumber in some ways too!

Sounds like you may have a bad ground. There are many threads on here where that has been the culprit. The bump triggered events would be consistent with this.
What I didn't know is that dealers are installing tracking devices on financed vehicles. The OP's context implied that they installed a tracking device but it could be removed once the loan was paid off...
A bit different environment but I just got done riding my shed of mice "evidence", sealing all the entry points, cleaning, disinfecting, and painting. We'll see how long it lasts! For such small creatures they sure leave an impact.
I'll be curious to see what you think of this... I've been milking the same welder for the last 30 years or so! It was supposed to be a temporary solution but it hasn't failed me... yet... I'm waiting for the day something gives out that I can't replace.
