    Rear axle gearing question

If the PO didn't change the gears while installing the ARB's, I would be surprised. Stock gearing can be either 3.21, 3.73, or 4.10 gears. You can look up your build to see what your factory gearing was. https://www.mopar.com/en-us/my-vehicle/vin-lookup.html

What did you do to your JK today?

That's pretty great speeds for the middle of nowhere.

What did you do to your JK today?

Got the vent swapped out tonight. There is a picture below that shows how the spare tire delete plate is bumped out around it to allow it to function. The license plate bolts are just inside the top corners of each side of the vent. My original vent didn't have any flaps. I am fairly certain it...

What did you do to your JK today?

Installed a Crawltek Pyro stubby front bumper, Rough Country 12k winch, and 2 more spot/flood combo lights.

What did you do to your JK today?

It doesn't completely cover the vent. There is a 1/4" gap between the part the license plate sits on and the vent. It still functions as normal. I did order a new Mopar vent because the rubber on mine is falling apart. I'll take a picture of how it is tomorrow when I take the plate off to put...

What did you do to your JK today?

Deleted the spare tire mount. I'm using the Feniex Quad light as primarily the third brake light. When I turn on my POV response lights (VFD), the light will flash blue. The brake light will override the blue light, but when brake is released and the blue lights are active, it goes back to...

What did you do to your JK today?

Installed a black Jeep logo on my new black grill. I've been researching stubby front bumpers and spare delete kits today too.

What did you do to your JK today?

No and in my research for a good replacement, everything I saw only indicated the single horn behind the driver headlight. It works fine on the stock wiring. The PIAA instructions just say to tap into the factory wiring to the other horn.

What did you do to your JK today?

Loud and like a normal horn since they are dual tone. The OEM horn is a single tone. I need to rotate the one I put on the fender so it points the sound forward. I'll do that tomorrow.

What did you do to your JK today?

Swapped the wimpy factory horn for the PIAA 85110 dual tone set up. The second horn wouldn't fit in the same area as the OEM, so I moved it off to the side.

What did you do to your JK today?

I rented a steering wheel puller from O'Reilly's. However, the soft aluminum on the wheel let one of the pullers pull through. I took a rubber mallet and smacked the back of the wheel with one hand while pulling with the other. IF you do it this way, leave the bolt threaded in so you keep your...

What did you do to your JK today?

I swapped out my OEM clock spring because I was getting codes P0581 Speed Control Switch 1 Circuit High, P0579 Speed Control Switch 1 Performance, & P0591 Speed Control Switch 2 Performance. The cruise control would go off after a short period of time or when I turned the steering wheel. So far...

What did you do to your JK today?

Installed the Diabolical Slipstream rear enclosure and fire extinguisher today. This rear enclosure is nice. Only compliant I have is the instructions say there is a pin on the upper back area, but it didn't come with them. I'll call them Monday. It is nice having the full rear coverage vs the...

What did you do to your JK today?

This week, removed the upper intake again and took the driver side injector/coil wiring harness out. There were several wire cuts. After fixing, I've not gotten a single code that I mentioned above. Today I installed the Energy Suspension polyurethane spare tire bumper extension to keep the...

    2012 3.6 Throwing P0206

I found several wires that had the jacket chaffed off on the driver side injector harness. I pulled it out and fixed them all. So far, fingers crossed, it has fixed the issue.

    2012 O2 Sensor Reading

Disregard this. I started tracing wires and found all 4 wires for the B2S1 O2 sensor were cut right were they go into the main harness. Cut the wires out of the harness and connected them back together and all is well.

    2012 O2 Sensor Reading

My 2012 was showing 1.3v for the B2S1 O2 sensor. I put in a new sensor (Walker) and it still reads the same. The B2S2, B1S1, & B1S2 sensors all ready within spec (.1-.9v). I have checked out the wiring and do not see anything. Anyone ever have this issue or know what I could look for?

What did you do to your JK today?

Earlier this week I put a set of 33's on 17x9 wheels and an Auxbeam switch panel and hooked up my blue lights for the VFD. This will give me a spot for the seat heaters and front lights when I get them installed. Luckily I didn't sell the 33's when I went to 37's on my TJ. Changed the oil...

How to Replace the Clockspring on a Jeep Wrangler JK

FYI, if you have a 2011-2018 JK, your clock spring is under a 15-year unlimited mile warranty recall. IF it has one of the codes listed in the bulletin, Jeep will replace it for free. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2017/MC-10217579-9999.pdf
