Ditto to all of the above on the JScan app. Download the app for free but then you have to pay around $25 to register your VIN, then the bluetooth OBDII will cost around $35 depending on which one you choose.
We have 35s and I entered like 34 or something to get the speedo right. I had to...
I recently replaced everything in our JKU a couple of months ago and bought from Crutchfield.
I went with a Kenwood head Unit. Used JL Audio speaker up front and in soundboard, then went with a powered sub from Fosgate. Kenwood amp for all front speakers. Very happy with it and it can get...
We have a 2010 Rubicon and are running 315/70 on stock 17 rims. Had to use spacers but has been this way for several years with no issues. I wouldn't go any bigger than 35 though.
Could it use a regear......yes it would help but it does pretty good as it is. Not a need at the moment.
The older years of OEM soft tops did not have the spring assist and use a different bracket on the roll bars in the back. We just got a free one and ran into this issue. We have a used one we bought a couple of years ago that came on a later year JK and the brackets did not work with the new one.
Just went on a ride with our club and a guy has metalcloak on his and is very happy. He said it rides great on road.
If you are a member of a local club, see if anyone with one of these will let you ride in theirs for a first hand experience.
Well, I just finished the install of a new head Unit, amps, speakers, and Powered sub. It turned out great and sounds awesome! Kenwood head Unit, JL Audio speakers powered by a small Kenwood amp, then a Rockford Fosgate 8" powered sub.
Save your money and wait until you can afford the better brands that Chris mentioned. We were like you. We wanted a lift bad and didn't have the money for a good one so we went with RC. I even mentioned to the shop that I was leary of the RC not being a good lift but they assured me it was...
We have a 2010 JKU Rubi automatic. Around 170k miles and no major issues. We have owned it for 2 years now. Yeah, the 3.8 is on the weak side, but jeeps aren't made for speed. It still has plenty of torque for offroad. Definitely add a trans cooler though!
