Questions about the soft top on this 2007 JKU

My jeep doesn't have that set up but I looked at one when I was shopping. I love the looks of this set-up with the top off. I can't offer any real help other than saying it should hold up as well as any other part of the a soft top. Just keep in mind that "rolling" down a window will require a...

Good looking jeep. How do you like that hood vent? Did you install it and if so how hard was the installation?

The next modification to bolt on were rock sliders. I was browsing jeep parts one day, as I do everyday, and saw EAG had rock sliders listed for $11.99. You read that right. I figured the order wouldn't go through but I went for it. I bought a few other things to get free shipping and waited...

I would start with the adjustable track bar. Adjustable control arms are on my list of things to get but mine rides pretty well without them.

I had never liked the look of the stock bumper on the JK so about a year and a half ago I got bored one day and decided to cut mine into a stubby bumper. It turns out my wife disliked this even more. 🤣 She ordered me a bumper less than 2 weeks after see what I had done. I figured now was the...

That's the steering setup I went with. I got the aluminum 1 ton kit with drag link flip kit. I also installed a track bar relocation bracket at the same time. I went with the Rough County bracket. I have had this set up on for a few months now and it handles so well I still haven't bothered to...

Good looking jeep! Your stock Dana 44 axles will do just fine with 35s. I'm on my second set of 35s on my stock Dana 30 front axle and I do a good amount of wheeling every year on that setup.

The next thing that got upgraded was the rear bumper. After having a 35 on the stock spare tire carrier for just a few months it began to visibly sag. I went with a Smittybilt XRC gen1 rear bumper with tire carrier.

I always just had a soft top on my TJ so I thought a soft top would be great for my new JKU too but while driving in my first storm I noticed the roof kept lifting up and letting a lot of rain in. I messed with the top to try to secure it but there was no way to secure the sides so I figured why...

The first thing I purchased was a matching spare wheel and a full size spare tire. It came with 35" tires but still had the stock spare tire on the back.

I thought I'd try to put all my progress in one place so I'm starting my first ever build thread. I purchased my 2012 Jeep JKU Sport in 2017 and have slowly been making it my own. It came with a 4" Zone lift and 35" BFG mud terrains on Eagle Alloy wheels. This is my second Wrangler the first...

Rancho RS5000X vs. Skyjacker Black MAX

I have a 2012 JKU with a Zone 4" lift on 35" tires. I also have HD front and rear bumpers, a winch and rock sliders (so it's on the heavy side). I am due for some new shocks but don't want to spend too much money on shocks this go around. Does anyone have any experience with either or both of...

    Anyone add a catch can?

I've been thinking about adding one lately too. This is a pretty good video about it.

    Cavfab 1-ton steering

I have a 4 inch lift so I went with the flip kit. It all went smoothly. I just took it on a short drive and got it up over 70. It's rides and steers so smooth that I haven't even bothered with putting the steering stabilizer back on yet. Thanks for the advise everyone!

    Cavfab 1-ton steering

I just got my my Doetsch 1 ton high steer kit delivered and it looks awesome! I have all the parts taken off my jeep and hopefully I'll be able to get it all installed tomorrow. Anyone have any tips for drilling the top knuckle hole for the flipped drag link? Or any other tips in general for...

    Cavfab 1-ton steering

I actually just ordered the Doetsch kit. I emailed Cavfab 5 days ago with a question and never heard back from them so that scared me away. I did some more research and decided I liked the idea of the aluminium and Doetsch has some really good reviews. Thanks for the recommendation!

    Cavfab 1-ton steering

Does anyone have any experience with Cavfab? They make a couple of different 1 ton steering setups for the JK at a pretty good price point. I'm getting ready to order there 1 ton drag link flip kit. https://www.cavfab.com/JK-1-Ton-Steering-System-w-Drag-Link-Flip-Tie-Rod-Drag-Link-_p_363.html I...

    Best off-road CB radio

I bought my CB as a complete kit for about $30 and then upgraded the antenna, another $10, a year or so later. I'd rather use VHF or GMRS but I'm cheap and so are all the guys I wheel with so we just use CB. Haha

    Best off-road CB radio

I have it mounted on the tailgate and sticks up above the roof line about 6 inches. I honestly don't know the brand of antenna. I bought it off of a friend who had an extra. It looks like a firestick but I don't believe it is.
