    3.6 Spark plugs

Nothing in the resources section on the go to spark plug recommendation for the 3.6. Go a 2012 JK and a Dorman oil cooler should arrive tonight... seeing as how I will have the intake off I might as well do plugs...talk me into new coils if you want... Just did the clutch at 156k miles and...

What did you do to your JK today?

Finished the clutch job on our '12 JK. Man that double clutch heavy flywheel is smooth. Centerforce. Wife loves it. Crawled up our steep driveway with no gas pedal. Took it for a shakedown cruise on some mild Forest Service roads...up 1817 and down 1833 in the Willamette National Forest outside...

J-Scan tire change broke speedometer and threw lots of codes

My Jscan would do this occasionally. You just have to reset everything to stock...set the tire and axle ratio back to normal. Might take a couple of clears and programs but it will work. The Jscan Facebook group is an excellent source of support. Never did get it to set the speedo right...

New winch, should i spray anything on the cable?

If you're going to spend $10 on oil spend $80 and get the HF synthetic rope. It's lighter...might be miniscule gas savings...safer...easier on the hands. Also... don't leave your shackles on your bumper. By the time you need them they'll either be gone or rusted solid...never mind the noise. -Mac

Anyone know if a 4.0 engine will bolt up to a NAGI 5 speed

Most states won't let you put an older engine into a vehicle. Newer one is just fine. Best advice I've ever seen is the hardest thing to do is Jeep parts into other Jeeps. I'd get a reman 3.6, rebuild yours, LS or Hemi swap it before I'd even think about a 4.0. And I love my 4.0 in my...

What did you do to your JK today?

Almost to the clutch. Oil cooler is leaking... gotta order a Dorman. Front 1350 Adams driveshaft ordered. Wish I had the coin for a rear driveshaft, new exhaust and some skid plates.

What did you do to your JK today?

Got back from snow wheeling and watching the clutch smoke waft through the HVAC vents. Ordered a Centerforce dual clutch and flywheel kit from Amazon. Pulled the driveshafts...front is gone... factory shaft and was expecting it since we have a 4" lift. Going to order a Adams 1350 tomorrow after...

How do I fix a Leaky roof seal and drenched rugs

We're just south of you in Fall Creek outside Eugene/Springfield. Our 2012 JK was leaking through the freedom top right on the radio. We bought new Mopar seals for the middle, then the windshield top seal...that moved the leak to the doors and on to the floors. We just bought new door...

Should I truss both front & rear Dana 44 axles?

I trussed and sleeved my Dana 30 on my TJ. To do it right you're going to have to completely strip the housing...heat it up to 350 degrees...weld the truss on in small controlled passes to prevent warping...and then wrap it in a fiberglass blanket and control temperature so it cools slowly...

    Seized spark plugs

Reason manufacturers say no to antiseize is it throws off torque values and they don't want the liability. That and idiots can get it all over the electrode. I use it...but I also typically use copper high heat. Dialectic grease is good inside the boots. Pull the plugs and post pictures...

    question about my jeep

Welcome to death wobble! I'd definitely look at replacing the tires. I'd jack up the front and feel out the wheels. Should be smooth. If you're lucky it's tires. Could be rims. Hubs. Bushings. Links. Lots of things. Bent axles. String works good for eyeballing alignment...get a string just...

Chirp Goes Away Pushing Clutch Pedal

Luk or Centerforce. Don't over clutch your Jeep. Too much clutch...things to make it handle high HP like multiple disks etc ... can compromise driveability. Just say no to AutoZone. I bought my Luk for my TJ on Amazon. A pilot bearing puller is also cheap but I've always used white bread...

    HA! Someone finally said it!

I'd take 100k and rock chips over angry eyes. To each their own... More opinions about parts just increases the diversity of what's available...and that's good for everyone... Angry eye grills makes decent used takeoffs cheap...as evidenced by the post. I'm good with cheap parts! -Mac
