A bit different environment but I just got done riding my shed of mice "evidence", sealing all the entry points, cleaning, disinfecting, and painting. We'll see how long it lasts! For such small creatures they sure leave an impact.

I'll be curious to see what you think of this... I've been milking the same welder for the last 30 years or so! It was supposed to be a temporary solution but it hasn't failed me... yet... I'm waiting for the day something gives out that I can't replace.

ECM parameters should be retained with keep alive or stored memory. I don't know what the time constant is, each OEM has a different strategy... I would think in the time it takes to replace a battery, or clamps, etc you would not lose anything critical. Maybe if you leave have the battery...

Not odd at all really, it's a factor of the connected mechanical components. The smaller the tire diameter, the faster the engine has to turn to maintain any given linear speed, all other things held equal. Since you verified the vehicle speed is accurate via GPS, a 35.25" actual diameter...

Have you measured the actual wheel diameter as installed on the vehicle? Most (not all) tires are smaller than the listed diameter. If, for instance, your nominal 37" tire measures out to be 36" that could explain some of it... The calculated 2576rpm from the fear ratio chart would...

I'm partial to e-lockers myself but that is what I have had in past (and current) trucks. I've never had a true-trac in a truck, but have in a street/track car and it performed nicely in both environments...

I think there is also a sensor "relearn" process that has to be performed. Was that or the ECM reset done?
