Good question. I installed a grab handle on mine so I do not step on the "nerf" bar to get in & out. The definition of side step differs from one person to the other depends on Form - Fit - Function. No it will not solve the DW and it is not a simple fix. It is more than just the steering stabilizer that you have to look at. The entire front suspension needs to be checked thoroughly and it is a process of elimination.

If you remove the mudflap I think it will look better IMO.

It says "greaseable" pin assembly but what for? It's already stainless steel pins with bronze bushings. In addition, the shiny bolt pins goes thru and with that alone it's like a Home Depot hardware so overall it looks "cheap". Sorry, that is just my own opinion.

How did you made the metal blazing hot if it did not destroy the paint?

So you lost burnt the paint then?

If I were you I will power wash clean the engine bay really good with a very strong chemical degreaser. Start with a clean slate, visually inspect everything after you drive the jeep everyday, meticulously and religiously. That way sooner or later you will find the culprit.
