Regrets on the wheels and tires I bought?

I don't think you can do better than KO2's on a mostly-street-driven Jeep. That's what I'm running on both of ours. I'm not a fan of the rim choice. No offense meant, they just do not inspire me. I'm sure they will serve the purpose just fine, especially after you lift the JK.

Very upset that car wash damaged my Jeep

My neighbor installs and works on car washes... he said to ALWAYS call out a top roller retract if you have a rack. He also said that competent operators already know this.

    Hood / windshield stone protection

Not "immune" per se, but mile-for-mile, the Wranglers in our stable seem to go through windshields at a much higher rate than any other vehicle we have owned. Exponentially higher repair/replacement rate. Maybe they use softer glass than others... ? Being flat doesn't help, but the flat...

My money is still on the battery clamps and the oil pressure wiring harness... 😬

    Hood / windshield stone protection

Well, they call them "bug shields" not "rock & debris shields"... I found a source for a clear overlay for only about $250 if I recall. I'll dig it up and post here for folks to review, criticize, etc.

In short, the OEM clamps are stamped, folded over, sheet metal. They only grip the battery post along the thin lines where the sheet metal contacts the posts. In addition, the clamping mechanism is that cone washer which is supposed to tighten the clamp when the nut is tightened down. More times...

Have you replaced the shitty OEM battery clamps yet? Don't replace ANYTHING else until you do that.

“Were” is the relevant word here…

    Limp mode

Did you repair the crumbling wire harness at the oil pressure sending unit yet? The exposed conductors will randomly short against one another resulting in CEL, limp mode, and as many codes as you can count.

If my calculations are correct, the lack of ANY aerodynamic design actually creates a localized vacuum directly in front of the Wrangler windshield at speeds greater than 35MPH...

    Hood / windshield stone protection

That’s kind of what I figured; they might work well to redirect bugs, but probably not very effective on stones & debris.

    Hood / windshield stone protection

So when we bought the JKU the windshield was pitted pretty badly and I replaced it. 2 weeks after installing it, my BIL shoved a longboard in the Jeep from the back and shattered the new windshield. That’s when I upgraded to the Gorilla glass. The cost at that time was $750, more than double...

    Doors off foot pegs.

I'll add that we haven't taken the doors off of the JK, only the TJ and I cannot say with 100% confidence that these same pegs will work the same on the JK hinges. The square corner on the peg mount stops them from flipping forward on the TJ because they stop against the hinge plate. I'm not...

    Hood / windshield stone protection

With 2 Wranglers in our stable we have probably replaced more Jeep windshields than most Safelight locations, and I'm growing tired of it. I found a clear film that goes on the glass to help with stone chips, but this will have to wait until my next new windshield or it will have small air...

Can I put the factory sub from a 2012 JK into my 2017 JK?

I don't follow... My 2015 JKUR has heated seats and there is still room for a sub under the front passenger seat... what do you have for seat heaters, a campfire?
