Does anyone know what kind of rims these are?

They do look fuel with the Allen wrench lug nut cover. I’d take this to Discount Tire and see if they know

    Death Wobble on 2011 JK

Not sure on that? I've seen loose track bar or components cause issues all the time. I do agree, starting with tires and balancing are stop #1. I didn't get it into my garage to get after it, so I can't say yet, just the initial look and it seemed to be tight.

    Death Wobble on 2011 JK

Yes, steering stabilizer. My experience it can mask issues, a Jeep should be able to run without one. It's a small shop, my buddy is part owner, so I know they're not screwing him per se, his mom is the business manager, ha. But.....I know the guy knows nothing about Jeeps specifically. I...

    Death Wobble on 2011 JK

Background: my buddy got a free JK through work (long story, not shady) about 55,000 miles and 2011 JK 2 door. Death Wobble big time, I drive it and it's not vibes, ha. 25 mph and hit a bump of any kind and you have to stop completely, I know the difference, and it is bad. Older tires but...

Which brands to stay away from for bumpers and fender flares

https://warriorproducts.com/jeep-wrangler-jk-jku-front-tube-fender-flares-black-powdercoat-steel-10.html I have these Warrior Fender Flares on my TJ, and will eventually get them on the JK as well. 100% USA Made. They are Vet owned and hire military vets as often as possible. I can 100% tell...

I'm a Wanderer (2015 JK that is wandering)

Good call, I would think Adjustable CAs would deliver what you need in the stock location.....then adjust the Caster to 6 or 7 ish (not every setup is the same, and it could be that 5 dials it in, not always an exact science)

I'm a Wanderer (2015 JK that is wandering)

Fair enough. I have not heard of anyone needing to do that on a 3" lift, but fair enough, granted I've got an 05 and 08, so I may be in a different setup.

I'm a Wanderer (2015 JK that is wandering)

Ha, my 78 CJ5 drove like I was in Hurricane. At all times. One question, what is the “Geometry Bracket” for control arms? I’m not familiar with the need? I put adjustable control arms to dial in anything after lift.

I'm a Wanderer (2015 JK that is wandering)

I would agree on 2 points I’d use Spicer U Joints and ball joints when possible. Caster getting fixed makes a HUGE difference. My son’s 08 Jk, we got Core 4x4 upper fronts and they made double adjustables, and I dialed in the Caster from 3.5 to 6.5 or 7 (dam If I can’t remember Exactly). 100%...

Where did you install your SPOD?

I’m pretty sure the manufacturer includes a Bracket for a specific location doesn’t it?

    Coolant leak

I wouldn't just leave this. Clean it, get it dry, start it in the driveway and let it run. Just watch and see where it comes from. The fan and wind can blow it all over, but it could be the cap or radiator....that's where I'd start, and look at all the hoses. You do NOT want to just leave it...

    Clutch / brake issue

What does that mean, you can’t shift or brake? If you can’t shift, how are you driving? If you can’t shift or drive, how do you know the brakes aren’t working? 1st thing, back to driving through the water, did you drive through and press the clutch? I’m not 100% you needed a clutch in the...

Not death wobble but what is it?

I’m not familiar wit them, but I’ve always used Spicer ball joints. When you changed them, this came up, something was done. Either that part is bad, or something else. I’ve heard of over tight ball joints holding steer etc, wheel won’t return to straight. New setup I’d check my Caster...

How can I achieve a softer ride?

Looks are a good enough reason for me. Springs set height, higher springs will not impact softer ride very much, just will set it higher. 3” and 33’s KO2 at 26psi Would be soft.

Tire Size, Lift, and Highway Driving Manners

35’s on that year Jk with 3”lift is not a problem running 75 on the highway, smooth and in traffic. Gear Ratio is certainly important, but I’d be a little stunned if I couldn’t drive over 60 in what is described. Heck, with those ratios, just use 5th gear like it’s a 5 speed and I can do 75...

How can I achieve a softer ride?

What tires do you have now? What shocks do you have now? mid it completely stock? How many miles on the JK? I have an 08 Jk with 2 “ suspension lift and 1” body lift, 35” BFG mid tires and Bilstein shocks. It rides smooth as all get out. I have a 05 TJ that I’m trying to get that smooth...

    Death Wobble

Alignment and tires first, those are where to start. Then dry steer and see if something is loose.
