2010 JK Sport won't start, won't crank, won't even click

Modern vehicles aren't built to work on. My favorite to work on was a 1960 Ford 1/4 ton, straight six. I could climb over fender, straddle the axle and stand on the ground. It looked like this with no chrome...

2010 JK Sport won't start, won't crank, won't even click

If the battery needs to be replaced, do that. That eliminates the possibility that you accidentally finished killing it. You need enough cold cranking amperage. After that you know you have good power. So from there, you start checking continuity. The power for the starter runs from the...

How do I tell the TPMS that 30-32 psi is normal so the low tire pressure warning doesn't come on?

Heh. I don't use a hand held gauge on the tires of my Rubicon. My former one had reasonably accurate reads from the TPMS too. When I first started driving a vehicle, that "former one", I did check the TPMS against the gauge. I have a good gauge that I keep for airing down and back up, and...

How do I tell the TPMS that 30-32 psi is normal so the low tire pressure warning doesn't come on?

The part where it counts is when a tire has gotten low in street or highway driving. That can turn into a problem if you need to maneuver suddenly and one tire is seriously under pressure. As far as actual pressure goes, the TPMS isn't any usually less accurate than some of the cheap guages...

Is it normal to be running around 2500 RPM at 70 MPH?

That would typically be 32 inch tires. To me the rpm sounds about right. My Rubicon ('16) turns about 2,250 RPM at 65.

    Drive shaft

A high lift creates more of an angle where the front shaft leaves the transfer case, and also where it enters the front differential. That increased angle can be a problem, throwing more stress on the linkages. What kind of problems are you having?

Cam shaft is broken and making ticking noise in engine

I have to agree. A broken cam shaft should be causing way more than a "tick."

Unofficial word: 3.6 dropping like flies

He's wrong about a number of things. The Pentastar is not a "Fiat engine," isn't made by Fiat, and was introduced in 2011 before the two companies merged in 2014. Also there are reviews like this, https://www.motorreviewer.com/engine.php?engine_id=167. The earlier builds, 2011-2013 were known...

    Teraflex hinged carrier

The size of the tire has a lot of influence, and so does how much and how rough your off road driving is. The bigger the tires are, the more inertia the carrier has to handle. Its hinges and attachment to the body or bumper are going to fatigue faster with weight and intense use. No carrier...

Torque and bolt sequence for head bolts intake bolts and more

The pattern depends on the engine type. With a V-6 you start the four bolts closest to the middle middle of the head, tightening in an "x" pattern (e.g. near right, far left, near left, far right) then repeat with the outer four. I would do that in two or three repeat stages to be sure there's...

    Harbor Freight Badlands Apex Winch

Ah, thanks. I thought that was actually going to IndominusHuman. His rig looks a lot like mine. except it is a JK, and mine is a JKU.

Are Jeep Jk wheel hubs the same for all years?

I have a 2016 Rubicon Hard Rock that I just bought last September. It had been pretty seriously customized by a TeraFlex fan. That's really nice, but I am still finding things that are not stock. There's no list of what's been done. Maybe 2011 is just the year that Jeep did to the vehicle...

Are Jeep Jk wheel hubs the same for all years?

I've seen both dates for the 3.6L. Wikipedia agrees with your date for the first Wranglers equipped with it.

What did you do to your JK today?

I was kicking myself because I didn't get one of the really droopy driver's side net until after I cut it out.

Are Jeep Jk wheel hubs the same for all years?

I could open it. In 2011 Jeep introduced the 3.6L engine. You might want to see if the Mopar parts numbers change.

What did you do to your JK today?

Replaced the dratted elastic nets on the driver and passenger doors with hard "pockets." No more snagging the lacing hooks on my boots on the netting. The instructions recommend a scissors and a knife, but a sharp blade is all you need is a knife. My stockman pattern EDC did the job just fine.

    Leveling kit vs. lift

With the boxy shape of the Wrangler, raising the back would probably actually increase the size of the turbulent area immediately behind the vehicle when it is in motion, which is a major source of drag. It might do as you suggest, but you'ld have to model the hydrodynamics of air flow at...

    Leveling kit vs. lift

Yep. That rake has a purpose, silly as it looks. Heavier cargo will be in the back and that rake allows the drivers outlook to remain relatively unchanged. Nothing like hauling half a ton of wood stoves over the Sierra in a quarter-ton Foord with the hood obscuring your view and minor bumps...
