Lighting bolt and loss of power

They went for the low hanging and very profitable services. You really don’t want to know what a fuel system service entails. It’s pure profit.

Lighting bolt and loss of power

Military term - BOHICA! They’re piling on totally unrelated work to a needed repair job. Tell them to go reproduce themselves and get your vehicle outta there, then find a reputable independent Jeep repair shop. $1350 is about 8 hours labor and won’t include the part that failed. Worst case...

Does it really matter which brand for mods?

Time and a place for chrome. Frankly, you’ve got a great vintage look going on there with the Jeeps.. My last Harley. ;)

Lighting bolt and loss of power

Heh, 17 year old me walked into Chrysler dealership in 1975 and looked at a ‘69 Hemi charger for the princely sum of $2200. Dad shot that deal down right now. lol Sales guy fired it up for me to hear the swan song. OTOH, I did own and drive a ‘66 Chevelle SS396/375 hp 4 speed for a year. And...

    Jeep JK 3.8 charging problem

Or just stop by your local auto parts superstore and have them run a charging system test for free. I'm with ^BlackJKU - probably junk terminals at battery. First place I'd look. Quality terminals Quadratech

    No start, no crank

Did you actually have the battery tested? It'll take a surface charge, show 12.6v, but with no power to crank. Stop by your local auto parts store and have them run their draw test. Odds are it's toast.

    Finally, the dream come true

Yup, I knew what stuff cost and when I found my ‘16 with a Teraflex lift, Smitty bumpers and buncha other high value offroad mods, I jumped. Only thing I’ve done so far is upped the tire size from 33s to 35s. Axle gearing to be done before I drive back home from Texas in April.

Help needed with bump steer (I think)

Looking at your pictures, your sway bar links are way too short. The tips of the sway bar should be above level, not below. Under full extension with the current ones, they can cause some serious damage. Aftermarket adjustable sway bar links now! What I’m running on mine - JKS

    Axle-back exhaust

It actually has longer tails than it looks. They dump right under the bumper.

    Axle-back exhaust

I've been running this for almost 9 months now. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006VOSH5O/?tag=jkforum-20 It slipped right in, no fuss, no mess. Got a bit of throaty grumble, but can easily listen to the radio without cranking the sound. ETA: I'd try grinding that weld off. I doubt it...
