Unofficial word: 3.6 dropping like flies

I forget the fault code, (don't want to "know it" actually 🙈) but it's certainly been an issue with various JK's. Maybe more on the other 'wrangler' forum. I forget, because I often surf there too for JK info since it is quite robust for that gen. Where as for my TJ, I strictly surf Chris's...

    2012 Transmission acting up

This is an interesting thread. I don't have any shift issues, but it seems my phones MPH is two miles off from the speedo. So maybe I can gain a tip from whatever is shared here.

2022 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 w/ XRecon Package - no longer an option?

I would be so 100 percent into an I6. But it's all the technology tethered to it that makes it undesirable for me at this stage.

    2015 JK Engine noise

Nice! Enjoy Spring break 💯 Good theory, but wouldn't that mean the tick would be cyclical and have a pattern?

    2015 JK Engine noise

Intermittent is odd, for sure. As most technicians say, it's a complex engine. Post up a vid, if you can. Im curious to hear this tick sound. Sometimes my engine can sound ticky, but Im starting to think Im over-listening thinking there's something wrong, when there isn't.

Cam shaft is broken and making ticking noise in engine

The older Jeep gen, 1997 to 2006. The TJ, in my opinion, is more reliable and DIY-able than the latter 2007 and up. Caveat is that the 07 to 2011's had the 3.8 and they're proving to go upwards lf 200k.

    Starting problem Ignition?

What did you do to your JK today?

Good choice. I use a movers blanket too, so I don't crude up my garage clothes with some of the previous spillages and fluids that are on the carpet.

    Tracking left to right/death wobble

The left right and vice versa can be the shorter lower arms with a higher lift. It has to do with what is called caster. That stated, have you had your Jeep professionally aligned? They're the one's to confirm if indeed the caster isn't set properly to reduce or eliminate that type of movement.

What did you do to your JK today?

😂 ya man, I had to put something down on that cold concrete floor. It is funny, though. Sort of like the 'royal carpet' for my Jeep.

Honestly, unless someone like Rogan or other Podcasts hop on with Sirius, I give them 2 years.

    One ugly JK!

Looks like a toy. But then again, a lot of Jeeps do. Partially what I like about them....they remind me of the Tamiya RC's I grew up with. But ya, those wheels are not cool and def an ass killer / jaw breaker.

    HELP: What is that sound?

To confirm if its the brakes / wheels: Id get it up to 30/35 mph, lightly apply the brake and note if the sound stops. Certainly sounds like something in a wheel. Guessing right front, since its so audible.

ENGINE JL TO JK ? Has anyone done that?

@Vman shyt, I gotta follow up and read that link. Previous post gave me the impression they updated the engine within the JK line. Which they must have done along the way, because Chrysler did offer a warranty extension for failing passenger side cylinder heads on the early 3.6's, up to mid...

ENGINE JL TO JK ? Has anyone done that?

interestingly enough, I've got friends with the 'updated' version of the 3.6 that had valve train issues and ultimately heads replaced. Both 2017's. One a Willys package. Guess its always a crapshoot. I have heard online mechanics say that the JL versions are the better iteration.
