P0306 Misfire Help

G’day LTB16, if your Jeep is a 2012, I’d say you’re out of luck. I fought tooth and nail for at least 18mths and they did come to the table in the end but that was related to a particular set of circumstances.
I just ordered a new vehicle for 2025 but it wasn’t another Jeep. I did visited the dealer I originally purchased from to look at a Gladiator Rubicon and the JL version and was very tempted to pull the trigger, but the salesman was in the wrong job as was the previous one, (clown) and then I had recall of the stress and Chryslers failure to just fix their manufacturing problem and retain their customer loyalty base. They sadly failed many loyal followers of a great marque.

This p0306 issue on my 2015 Jeep JKU rubicon 3.6 pentastar is making my head spin, even with my Max Care lifetime warranty. I have had it on and off for months. I originally changed all coils, plugs and PCV valve. The code still came back. I took it to one dealer that confirmed cylinder 6 misfire and said it was a software update. They cleared the code and it came back. I took it to another dealer and they also confirmed cylinder 6 misfire but didn't have enough time to take it apart because I was driving it 12hrs back down to my other house in So Cal.

After resetting the code, I drove it more than 12 hours back down and had no issues. The pulsing that I felt when I barely take my foot off of the gas disappeared and it was running fine. When I started driving it in LA traffic the code came back. I never felt any power loss or any other issues except the occassional pulsing when the jeep rolls after letting off of the gas. I then took it to the dealer near my house in LA that worked on it in the past and left it with them to diagnose and fix. I didn't realize that they supposedly got a cylinder 3 misfire, so they changed the cylinder head and gave me the car back. The cylinder 6 misfire code came back and they told me the whole story, so they replaced that cylinder head too. I asked them if they checked the injectors and did a smoke test, but apparently in their documentation they did a leak down and compression test and said the exhaust valves weren't sealing well. I did notice very slight ticking months ago but it would go away after cold starts. I also feel like the dealer was just going after high end jobs thinking it would fix the issue. Now, I plan on taking it to another dealer since the code came back, as well as the occasional pulsing when I slowly let off the brake. I have no idea what it is. This dealer said my injectors were fine and there was no play on my cams and the cams were fine. They also told me that they just swapped the cams and lifters onto the new cylinder heads. Anyone have any guesses? I am going to take it to a much better reviewed dealer who will hopefully switch out the cams, lifters and rocker arms. It would be horrible if it's just an injector or faulty PCM. What do you all think?
