I have taken possession of 7 17" factory Moab wheels. I'm wanting to get rid of the chrome being wheels on the JK.

I have 285/75/17 tires now, will the Moabs and 285's work without spacers without rubbing?

I don't have a direct answer for you but will await a response as I've considered this size long-term once I install a proper lift.

My guess is that you wouldn't absolutely need spacers but may have a bit of rub at full lock unless you add some washers to limit the steering (similar to running 285/70R17s)

Yes, you can run 285/75R17s on a stock JK, but expect possible light rubbing at full steering lock and especially when flexing off-road. F

Ideally you'll want a 2" lift, but they will work!

Thanks Chris!!

From what I can tell, I do have a 2 inch lift.

Will be swapping tires to the 17" Moabs next week at work!!

I have a 2.5" lift and 285s on stock wheels 2017 JKU and you will get some rubbing at full lock especially if you go full lock on uneven terrain, at least I do. It's the width not the height. I put two thin washers under my stop bolt and I'm sorry but for the life of me I don't know their thickness.

Where mine rub is the upper bar the sway bar is connected to on the top end. Doesn't rub anywhere else at all, even before my lift, but adding the lift didn't change when and where it rubbed.

I just slapped my 285/70R17's on my daughter's Islander with zero lift and it clears everything just fine. Granted, I haven't flexed this thing out but they aren't that much bigger than factory 255's and they clear with plenty of room.
