Hey guys,

I've researched this for my Ram 1500, but being my first Wrangler I was hoping for some recommendations.

Looking to replace the shocks on the Jeep and want to keep the stock height.

We use it for the Seirra Nevada back roads, occasionally the OHV trails...no high speed desert driving or overlanding.

Ram forums, the Bilstien 5100 and Fox 2.0 are pretty ubiquitous...

What do you guys think? Not looking at spending too much either.

Thanks guys!

Any opinions on the Rancho RS9000XL shocks? Better than the 5000?

Can’t go wrong with Bilstein or Fox .

I have Rancho 5000 on mine and in my world they're just fine. I have a 2.5" lift w/35s and it's a DD, does some beach riding on the Outer Banks and some overlanding; no serious rock crawling. If I were to decide more serious off-road adventures are in my future, I'd certainly upgrade and spend some more money. But, what I use my JKU for, the Ranchos are fine.
