Flashing light red dot in upper right of dash

I'm sorry but I've never ever heard of that. Every single vehicle I've ever owned has had an aftermarket radio in it. From cheap and kinda working to expensive and working every time.
Ya I know lol same here so I kinda just blew them off and decided im going to go see a guy who redid my truck keys and see if he can fix it or if its just my key

This discussion could be a little clearer. "Key fob" usually means an object separate from the key, that the key is attached to. My Tacoma had one. My 2016 Rubi has an "integral" fob that is part of the key. It sounds from the description like the security light comes on and off while driving. That light should only be on when parked and everything is off, and the vehicle locked. The description sounds like a electrical fault, or if the fob is actually integral to the key possibly a bad battery. A photograph of the key would help clear up possible confusion.

Dealership told me that it might be because I have an after market radio and something might be bad in radio because the light doesn't always come on.
Did you ever confirm this is the case? I have a '15 JKU, no power locks, on fobs, no security system. I do have an after-market radio that is giving me problems, and my light started flashing intermittently. My Jeep still runs without issues.

The flashing red dot is the security system and if it was causing a problem on your Jeep it would cause it to not start.

I own 2016 jeep wrangler Sahara I got new in 2016 . After 8 years and 10 months red light came up I took to my mechanic. I changed the batteries in both of my key fobs. I used one key fob for eight years in 10 months. I decided to take the one I had in my safe take it out put a new key fob in it use it. It was good for a while then the red light kept coming back on again so I took it to AutoZone. Had them check the battery. The battery was 100% fully charged. They said that the cranking battery, the cranking power was low so I bought a new battery. The battery was four years and I said all right. I’ll put a new battery in it cause I usually change everything in my jeep is.

Don't leave us hanging... Did the battery fix your problem?

No it still really has come on but for last couple days I had a problem starting it . I am going too call dealership and bring in . I change the batteries in the fobs on both keys and the main battery for jeep . AutoZone ran the main computer . And they found nothing wrong new battery hundred percent charged alternator fine starter fine no codes. I had my mechanic before this run everything and there was no codes and racing both keys to make sure it was fine for a couple weeks. The red light appeared that’s why I changed the battery, I know there’s no internal problem on my jeep, but I just can’t take chances anymore with this red light. It doesn’t come on when I’m driving it anymore so I think I fixed the problem but when I go home I wanna go out I try to start it won’t start. the light comes on when I’m turning the key. I wait couple minutes and then it starts up but after four or five times this is just a headache, I removed the fuse for about 10 minutes. Put it back in fix the problem. Somebody told me to disconnect the battery terminal for 10 minutes. I really wanna have it fixed so I’m just gonna bring it into the dealer. Tell him everything I did and see if they could figure it out. I brought it to two mechanics. Nobody could figure it out and seems like I have the problem I go to the mechanic and then there’s no problem. They look at me and say well it seems to be fine. I turned it off and on your car about 1015 times it start every time , I’m thinking of changing the clutch, but I don’t wanna keep putting more money into my jeep. I take care of it. I fixed all the problems I had a tick issue I changed all the lift is all the rock arms the front the top cams changed everything that was like 1200 bucks my friend did all the work belts. I put a new thermostat in it. I changed the oil every 4000 miles I put new tires shocks. I got 118,000 miles on it on the original Jeep top. I own a house in Pennsylvania. I’d work in New York City for UPS. I just wanna have a reliable car to get back-and-forth , if this keeps up, I think I’m gonna trade it to buy a new or I’m looking at to buy something else and you know I always like the garbage and they cost more more problems and the older Jeep

I had the same issue for about a month with my 2011 JK (105K miles). I have no battery FOB; only a chip in the key. They gave me a new key but the issue continued. Was in to the dealer 4 times and ultimately, it turned out to be a bad ignition switch. Put a new one in and blinking red light blinks no more.

I have a 2014 Jeep Wrangler with a Willis package in it. I have a light that keeps coming on and flashing on my dash that is right above my oil temp guage. Can anyone tell me what this light means? I am taking it to dealership but was hoping to know before then.

Lock and unlock your front driver side door with the key and the door closed. This will make it go away. Mine does it a couple of times a year.
