So I changed the ignition coils and spark plugs in my 2012 Unlimited Sport today. I put everything back together but forgot one vacuum hose and started the jeep. I realized what I did and turned it off and reconnected the hose. Now I have an O2 sensor thats saying theres too much fuel in the fuel/air ratio. Will this correct itself or am I going to have to replace that sensor? Thanks for the answers in advance.

My suggestion would be to drive it and see if the computer resets. Swear that these onboard computers just make life hell in more cases than not.

Thats what I was told by a friend of mine to just drive it. That since I had the battery disconnected for a couple of hours that the stuff that was in the ecm may not be the same now. Does that sound about right? Im just now learning how to work on things on this jeep since the warranty ran out on it. Lol

If you had the battery disconnected you just did the ECM reset, so just drive it.

Did you have a problem for the reason you changed the plugs and coils, or just thought it was time to do them?
Check engine light came on. No codes on the dash. Had a computer hooked up to it and showed #3 cylinder needed a new plug and ignition coil. It was way low on gas when I did all this. No check engine light until I ran up to the gas station and got gas after I got done. As soon as I got gas and got down the road it threw that code. Im kind of figuring maybe I should have put gas in it BEFORE I disconnected the battery.

That being said....do you think if I disconnected the battery for a few hours and let the computer reset again now that it has gas in it and then drive it that that will correct the issue? And thanks for all your help by the way. I appreciate it.

Maybe you got a bad connection on No 3, might check to see if they are tight. Your fuel level in the tank won't set off a CEL.
