Which of these 2.5" lifts should I buy?

Hey guys. New here from the St. Louis MO area.

I sold our Northstar Ranger and replaced it with a stock 2016 2dr Wrangler sport yesterday. With 2 kids, we just didn't fit in the jeep anymore.

My long term goal is 33 or 34" tires and a 2.5" lift. I need my wife to be able to get the kids in and out if needed. **Please note I'm open to other options as well**

I'm torn between:

-Teraflex ST2 with Fox 2.0 shocks ($1900)
https://www.northridge4x4.com/part/...x-2-5in-sport-st2-suspension-system-no-shocks.

-MetalCloak true dual rate, with either the Rocksport ($1908) or Fox 2.0 shocks ($2262)
https://metalcloak.com/jk-wrangler-2-5-true-dual-rate-lift-kits.html

-Maybe JKS J- venture with Fox adventure 2.0s ($1300)
https://jksmfg.com/collections/wran...ure-wrangler-jk-2-door?variant=39344433594527

I will buy whatever from forum sponsors if possible.

I would lean towards a smoother ride at low speeds driving through a field than perfect highway handling manners.

This thing will be 80% highway, 15% driven through fields and stuff like that. Very minimal flexing I'd imagine overall.

Any ideas? Any feedback? I'll spend the money where necessary, but don't feel something like the falcon 3.3s are worth the money for me.

Thanks in advance for everyone's time!

Nick

I got the MC true with rock sport shocks and I really like it. A lot of people hate on MC, I don’t get it. The kit rides smooth and works great off road, I don’t think you will be dissatisfied.

Thanks for the reply.
I spoke with MC direct and asked questions. They seem like very helpful people. Just curious, did you get the rear coil retainers that correct the coil angle? I also considered the rocksports instead of 2.0s (fox ones were revalved by BDS for them, rocksports are their in house shock designed for their dual rate coils it sounds like.)

Any idea how much true lift it gave you ? I have stock bumpers for now. Any pictures? You running 33s or 35s?

Given your description / use I recommend AEV. We have it on two JK’s and it works great all around. Decent price and a complete kit.

A 2.5" lift was on my JKU when I bought it. It is a Terraflex and the PO left the original shocks on, so I replaced those. It's got a good look with the 35s:

Looks good! Just curious, can you get me a measurement from the ground to the bottom of the doors or any point of reference? I'd like to compare with mine to see where it'd put me. What shocks did you go with?

Ground to the bottom of the door at the vertical seam where the front fender ends and the rocker panel starts is 26 3/4". It has a little rake to it since I added the front bumper, which is a pure 100lbs. Before that it was closer to 28".
I put the Rancho RS5000 shocks on it. They're pretty good for the mixture of DD and mild/moderate trails.

Very helpful - thanks.

I'm @ 22.5" for the same measurement so around 4in difference (I have stock 255/75r17 SR-As still).
