I have the Chinese version of Truck Lites..NVL-HL-002. I think they might be upside down. No Detent for Locating the top. Does anyone know if the Headlight should have the Large half on the top or on the bottom???
way is
I hoped that is right. That is how I installed them. The light pattern just seems wrong. I guess I will start the alignment process to see if the pattern gets any better. So far no very impressed.Larger portion is top.
Thanks, if only it would quit snowing long enough for me to get outside and try adjusting the headlights. That fake DOT SAE logo should be at the top/legible after installation (as you have it in the photo).![]()

I go to Walmart after dark. Drive around by the loading docks. There's plenty of room to measure your distance from the wall and mark your beam targets.Plenty of YouTube helps to align your headlights.
The best method I found was a combination of using my garage door and masking tape to mark where the beams were hitting, then going on the road and trying them, adjusting , driving, adjusting... you get the point.
My high beam is at the bottom . PO owner had installed other head lights this way as well. I’ve got them aimed correctly , no DOT or UP printed into lenses .Larger portion is top.
My high beam is also at the bottom. PO had them installed at the dealership. Mine are aimed perfectly too.My high beam is at the bottom . PO owner had installed other head lights this way as well. I’ve got them aimed correctly , no DOT or UP printed into lenses .
IDK maybe mine are installed upside down ? They work really well in this configuration . So not going to fix what isn’t broken . Doesn’t seem to be a set standard for LED’s
