Changing Bolt Pattern to Fit Wheels

I ran aluminum spacers on my WJ for years and years with zero issues. It was my daily and my trail rig. Drove my WJ to Rausch Creek all the time. Even took a road trip to Mud Madness Off-Road Park probably 4-5 years ago. That was a fun trip! Preventative maintenance is key. Every 2 years I'd zip them off, clean the OEM studs and apply new blue loctite.

In case your wondering 5 x 127 is the metric equivalent of 5x5.
Metric equivalent of 5 x 5.5 is 5 x 139.7. See accompanying chart.
You either have 5" or 5 3/4" backspacing .Dependimg which rim you actually have . I imagine you have part # from
sales invoice so look it up on chart . Than you at least know what your dealing
with .
Spacers are often used on rims to bring backspacing to 4 or 4 1/2" .
That's the clearance you would need for larger tires and or 1 ton steering
components .
If you put 1 1/2" spacers on a rim with 5" backspacing . You would be left with
3 1\2" backspacing . That's pushing it my friend . You could run into wheel bearing
hub repacement annually . As a 35" on 20" rims is some pretty serious rolling mass
with 3 1/2" backspace .
On the flip side with the rims you received even If lugs were correct given the
35" diameter you may have had rubbing at full Steer as they don't make a 20"
Assault with 4 1\2" basxkspacimg . That 4 1/2 is the sweet spot as gives clearance but not pushing out the wheel to much.
I really like Fuel rims. I considered switching current rims to the Assault but am
gong with the Vapour .

Ok you have the 7050.
So 5” of backspacing .
I looked at some of billet aluminum spacers available .
They are anywhere from 1 1/2 to 2” think . Depending on the brand .
There is a quality brand some guys speak about but can’t remember the name . Will look again tomorrow maybe it will jog my memory .
But as I mentioned it could be a problem . Some guys hsve ran spacers without issue .
The ones that did have a feeling they were able to kept overall backspacing to 4.5” .
Do you think seller would exchange them ? I imagine you would be required to pay shipping costs . But it may be in your best interest cause would keep the Jeep , yourself passengers safe .
You might be able to get away with 5” backspacing but full turn will be awfully close to rubbing on front control arms .
It’s one of those, you will see when mounted .

I’m in Canada as well . Vancouver Island . Have to order everything . Except tires.
Get it threw Amazon , eBay or Just Jeep’s which is in Ont .
Amazon / eBay , my vehicle info is stored in profile so if looking at something specific it will tell me if it fits my Jeep .
I will still double check to make sure with brands website .
Just Jeep’s are great . They answer emails right away for any questions and can advise on fitment.
If your thinking of adding whatever Just ask here . There is a wealth of knowledge among the regulars so someone will know .
I understand some of this is a bit late to your current issue but at least going forward you have more resources available . Welcome to forum . Keep us in the loop to how things sort out .
