Another reason for skid plates

About 16 of us went up to the snow. My son started sliding a little sideways, backed up a little made another attempt. Long story short, he ended up getting this log wedged under his Jeep and front axle. Skids probably saved some damage happending. Last pic is me holding the log that was wedged under the jeep.

I can think of a dozen reasons to have a skid plate but not a single reason not to. Regardless of what terrain you're off-road in, they'll probably save you an expensive repair bill.

Chris, long time since hearing from you, hope all is well. Yes the kid is learning sometimes this old dad knows what he is talking about. The next day saw one of the other Jeepers at church and said “After seeing what happened to Zach I am thinking I may get some skids for the engine / tranny”.
