2018 JK Red light flashing on dash

What’s up everybody, I have got a red light flashing on my dash right above the temp gauge. I have a 2018 Jeep jk. Does anyone know what it might be and how to get it fixed. Looked at the owners manual but not much info, something to do with the security system.

Red Telltale Light., What It Means, Vehicle Security Warning Light — If Equipped
This light will flash at a fast rate for approximately 15 seconds when the vehicle security alarm is arming, and then will flash slowly until the vehicle is disarmed.

Yes, that’s what I also read. But if I turn on the Jeep with that light on the Jeep will turn off after 2 seconds. So I’m wondering what it could be, it’s not effecting how it drives or anything it’s just doesn’t turn off and it times it the Jeep won’t turn on.

Not sure if this will work on yours since it's newer but might be worth a try.


Do you have a spare key you could try and leave the one you was using far away so you can see if the other one works?

I do not have a spare, will definitely try that. Jeep turned on in the morning but now it’s not starting, light just stays on.
