Looking to get some new tires for my 2015 Sahara since they are starting to get a little low on tread. I have stock wheels and tires on now. I want to keep the stock wheels but what's the biggest tires I can put on the 18x7.5 stock wheels? I should mention I'm putting a 3.5" lift on when I change the tires. TIA

Do you know what gears are in your axles? Depending on what gears you have and how tall of a tire you get you might have to change your gears. And when you go to any taller of a tire then stock you have to recalibrate your speedometer.

If you are going all in with a 3.5 inch lift get rid of those 18" wheels and get some 17 x 8.5 or 9. The biggest tires that can fit on stock wheels without wheel spacers really isn't that much bigger than stock. Backspacing is the problem.
with 17s you will have a ton more tire options.

Wheel spacers imho are bad. Many shops won't even work on a vehicle with them on and I doubt your insurance will cover you if one fails.

Like @BLACKJKU said, you need to figure out your gear ratio. It could be 3.21 or 3.73.. I don't think the rubicon 4.10 was available as an option for saharas, but I could be wrong.

If it is 3.21 biggest is probably 33" unless you regear. You may get away with 35" on 3.73 and are just driving around town.

Don't spend any money until you have a plan. All of the stuff you want to do starts you down a rabbit hole where the jeep will drive like crap if you go only half way.

I'm not sure what the ratio is now. I was looking at 35's. I know I'll need to regear from stock. Trying to figure it all out. One piece at a time. I was wanting to save some money with not having to get new wheels but everything seems to be pointing away from that plan.

so the first question is what do you plan on doing with the jeep?

Is this going to be a daily driver or are you going to be doing off-roading or rock crawling. Much of our suggestions will be tempered by your eventual plan. Bigger lifts and tires for an off-roading rig are going to be different than one where you are going more for the look. Off-roading quality and build is much more expensive. Plus there is a different order of operations between the two.

It's going to be a daily. With the occasional off road venture

ok, if you have 3.73 you can probably get away with 35s for awhile for a DD. You will probably notice a change in power (you HAVE to have the speedometer adjusted for larger tires, it controls the shift points.) You are not going to be able to use stock wheels for this. I have some pro-comp wheels that cost only about $100 per and they are perfect for me.

I don't think 35s fit under stock fenders with no lift, someone else will have to speak to this, I ran 33s with a leveling kit for while, Just like everything else jeep, you can spend quite a bit if you are able, but there tend to be budget options as well. Figuring out what level of quality you need for your purposes is important.

first pick is with the teraflex leveling kit and 33s (285 70 17) and the pro comp wheels I picked up

second is with a 2.5 lift from the same company.

I was wondering the same thing for my 08. But instead of bigger tires, I just want to know what is the most aggressive tire for my stock aluminium 17×7.5 rims?

Most aggressive? Mud tires will both look aggressive and make you aggressive driving down the road.
