Sorry if this has been asked somewhere, but I wasn’t able to locate it. I have a 2015 Hard Rock. I am wondering if the following winch plate works with the stock steel number that comes with the Rubicon? I know the title states for “Stock Bumper” but would like to know if anyone has installed this plate and how well it works. I am looking at getting either the 9.5K, 10K or 12K Gen 3 winch by Smittybilt. Thank you in advance.

Nope, that will only work with the non-Hard Rock bumpers.
Thank you for letting me know! Will look for others other options. Brad suggested the one by JCR Off-road, was hoping to find something a little more cost effective.

It will be well worth the extra money.

The popular brands (JCROffroad, Maximus, etc) all are basically the same and bolt right in.

Throughout building my jeep I have found that it is better to spend a little extra to avoid headaches down the road.

I went with the Maximus setup (y)
Chris, thank you. I ended up ordering the JCR Off Road mounting plate and the ordered the 12K Gen 3, Smittybilt with synthetic rope last night. Thank you again.

If either you have a picture or idea how to connect to battery much appreciate. Last time I connected one it was a simple post connection. I see the new battery system has three or four (can’t recall) wires coming off the post so wondering the best method to connect the cables.

Hmmm, my winch is a Warn M8000 and simply has a positive wire, a negative wire, and then a small ground wire that goes to the body. There shouldn't be anymore wires than that.

Chris, sorry I wasn’t clear. The battery terminal is what has 3 or 4 cables coming off of it, like image below. I’m just wondering if there is a specific terminal to connect it to, or do I need to add a fourth? Similar on the negative side

No need to add. Just piggy back off of one of the existing terminals that has wires going to it.

Dont go to the one circled as that is how you loosen the terminal and that would be annoying to have the winch connected there if ever needing to disconnect the battery.
