Do these numbers look normal?

Driving on the highway....mph / rpm look normal for a stock Wrangler?

I assume this is an auto? If so, it seems low to me. However, mine is a Rubicon with factory 4.10 gears and 315s.

If you have a lower gear ratio (3.73), that actually could be normal, yes.

According to my GPS at 60 MPH I was doing around 2040 RPM's, also a manual trans in 6th gear. Also have stock tires on with 3.21 gears.

Here is mine in straight flat highway:
65 MPH = 1750 RPM
70 MPH = 2000 RPM
75 MPH = 2250 RPM
80 MPH = 2500 RPM

2 door auto trans. cruise control set.

I am more familiar with TJs and so I am also learning the JK behavior. I have 35's so don't know if I am set at the right ratio but it don't bother me much about this.

I believe those numbers are normal for a manual transmission on stock 3.73 gearing.
Then why is there so much hype regarding regearing? Those were my numbers on the highway with my 37s. Are they talking about regearing to rock climb and off-road or could it be my gears have been changed already before I bought it...?

At highway speeds (let's say 60-65 MPH), you should be around 2600 RPMs or so. Anything below that RPM will be lugging the engine.

From what I can see, you're lugging the engine since it's under 2K RPM.

No one says re-gearing is a requirement, but it will make your JK much more enjoyable to drive, I can promise you that.

Of course you'll never know what you've been missing until you try driving a JK that's been re-geared. It's then that you'll come back to us and say, "Wow, I can't believe how much better it is".

Understood 👍🏼

When I had the 35's on my Jeep that came with it and with the 3.21 gears I couldn't even use 6 th gear because my RPM's were to low. One of the reasons I went to stock tires.
