The sensor itself it not the only component to the circuit. The wiring between the sensor and the ECU is also a potential failure point. If the sensor doesn't get voltage, or it doesn't get a return to the ECU, the same code will appear.

That same harness is what had our 2015 down for weeks. Since replacing several of the injector and coil pack connectors, it has been trouble free.

Why not go get the summer tires in a different vehicle? Regardless, if you have to temporarily run a different sized tire, it should be on the front and you should stay in 2WD.

We ran John Bull East (in the TJ) and we head up to Silverado Canyon quite often, just because it's close. There were some other trails off of 74 that I believe are now closed. We are not trail experts by any definition.

I finally ordered the replacement door entry guard stuff to replace the broken plastic junk that I had installed previously. This time I went with the pre cut adhesive-backed grip tape version.

There are no settings in EVIC or JSCAN to allow for this that I have found. Seems like it would be an unnecessary load while starting, but I can see the benefits of being able to turn them on/off via remote. Curious what replies this receives.

Your JK doesn't have a second horn mounted on the fender near the firewall?

I've replaced about 6, across 3 vehicles in the past 5 years. Prior to that, I can only remember replacing 1 or 2 in the past 30+ years across probably 30+ cars/trucks.

You might want to take a look at a few videos of the process before you commit to doing it yourself. I'm all about saving money when it doesn't need to be spent, but I think this particular repair may be best suited to someone that has done it before with all of the horror stories I have...

That's what I would be worried about as well, but it's hard to imagine what might be underneath the previous 'fix'... Maybe it's better to "start fresh" with a good look at what is actually cracked/broken/etc. and then decide on the best 'final fix'. Also, the PO may not have used the right...
