    Overheating from heat soak

I can't tell the mounting situation on that radiator that you're using, but a Camaro Fan + Lingenfelter Controller is a solid choice. JSS actually sells a bunch: https://jeepspeedshop.com/product/electric-fan-shroud/ If your radiator had bosses for an OEM style fan, the JK 3.6L Pentastar fan...

    Overheating from heat soak

Depends on who you ask and what you're referring to (i.e. oil temp or engine temp)... modern engines and modern lubricants are designed to run hotter (the 3.6L is a perfect example of this) for better efficiency due to higher cylinder pressures and overall better vaporization of the fuel...

    Overheating from heat soak

I was going to say that in stock form, most 5.7's will hit 230° underload. The only real way to shed heat is to change fan size, change the fan logic, and/or ventilate the engine bay (sometimes with limited success on that last one). That dual-fan Spal looks to be good for 1800 CFM, which puts...

EVAP connector on top of fuel tank

There is no serviceable part that can be replaced - Mopar and aftermarket solutions only sell a new tank.

What brand of TPMS sensors work well?

lol, that video above is why I stay off most of the FB Jeep pages  It should have been clear that my comments have zero to do with "stop liking what I don't like", and everything to do with trying to understand the logic/reasons behind those decisions... When people say "I like xyz..."...

What brand of TPMS sensors work well?

Perhaps, though I do find that a little hard to believe still, since these systems are highly reliable, and with the exception of failed/dead sensors, I don't know of anyone having a serious issue with them after nearly 20+ years of time on the market. Heck, my silver JKU is a 2008 and has...

What brand of TPMS sensors work well?

Admittedly, I still don't understand that reasoning... Our Grand Cherokee and our Wagoneer both have the newer, individual pressure data going to the dash. That said, I can't say that I check it with any regularity (other than scrolling across it when I accidentally hit the menu up/down button...

What brand of TPMS sensors work well?

FWIW, I've used the ones at Discount Tire twice on Jeeps and they've been perfectly fine... I know a lot of folks disable the TPMS, but for me, it's one of those things that could actually save some skin, and is otherwise completely passive until needed. Dropping air pressure down for a trail...

2008 JKU "Argenta" Build Thread (plus a 2010 Islander side project)

Radiator hoses and A/C lines are done, so I'm turning to the battery cables. I'm using tinned copper, 2AWG cables for basically everything, except the battery-to-inner-fender ground wire, which is 4AWG for easier routing (still larger than the factory ground wire, which is #8AWG). The OEM...

2008 JKU "Argenta" Build Thread (plus a 2010 Islander side project)

I got the A/C lines trimmed up and re-crimped... Everything fits great now, with no rubbing on anything and away from significant heat sources... The pressure switch installed on the suction line is a little close to the exhaust manifolds but supposedly doesn't cause any issues: Even...

    Hyper flashing turn signal

You could have had a ground wire come loose, so worth going through those and confirming good connections (soldering and shrink wrap is my preferred method), though it seems like potentially one of the diodes and/or resistors in the resistor-pack has failed.

    Hi all

Bright Silver Jeeps unit!! (though mine is a 4 door) The 5100's are great for on-road driving and moderate trails. They have faster valving than others, favoring a more planted on-road driving experience at the expense of softness off-road. That said, they are still quite good for off-roading...

Lift kit (did I get bamboozled?)

Those springs fit many different Jeep models. On a JKU, they're supposed to net ~3.5", though 4"+ isn't uncommon if your OEM springs were a little saggy. I'm not sure what tire size you intend to run, but you can comfortably fit 35" tires on 2-2.5" of lift. Any more than that and you will have...

Clogged booster vacuum hose or broken nipple at the intake manifold possibly?

The Crna Utra JKU from Aus

Another member just had a similar PCM related issue... https://wranglerjkforum.net/threads/the-battle-against-the-dreaded-p0300.32764/#post-472970 I wonder if these early year JK's are experiencing failures like the 05-06 TJ's were.
