What did you do to your JK today?

About a week before hitting the trails I sprayed 3 cans of Fluid Film on everything underneath except exhaust and brakes. We went through some pretty nasty holes as you can see on the wheels. The front bumper was submerged in muck at one point. Half way through the ride, the guys in other rigs...

How do I determine how much lift my Jeep Wrangler JK has?

I have the AEV kit. The shocks are made by Bilstein...supposedly to AEV's spec's, but who knows... Mine say BOTH Bilstein and AEV on them. I'd say take a close look and see if you find AEV on them along with Bilstein.

PD06DE high oil pressure code on 2016 JK

Oddly enough, I got the PD06DE code after changing oil and filter the last 2 times. I have not been able to find an explanation. It throws the code under a hard pull on the interstate when the jeep downshifts after the engine is completely warmed approximately 100 miles after the oil/filter...

What did you do to your JK today?

Decided to prove to the wife the JKU has a practical purpose and is used on the farm. I pulled the hay tedder, hay rake and an empty hay wagon to the field. Little did I know that when I wasn't looking my brother would hook up a full wagon, haul it out of field and down the road. That wagon...

During the "Back the Byway Ride", minor peel back of the factory rear diff cover. HELLO JEEP; Those covers need to be upgraded from factory on the Rubicon package! New parts arrived, so installed them with some 11-year-old "help". Who knew an 11-year-old knows everything wrong with the...

What did you do to your JK today?

Here are a couple pictures. Of course pictures never do justice to the obstacles, but we had a great time! We ended up in a group with Coddiewomple Overland, so I'm anxious to see the videos when posted. Minor peel back of the factory rear diff cover provided the perfect excuse to upgrade...

Getting ready for 'Back the Byway" event. https://www.ridethedbbb.org/event-details/spring-2022-back-the-byway-event-presented-by-dan-cummins-off-road Checked all fluids, tire pressures, etc. Finally hung the Trasharoo and installed the GMRS. The GMRS fits perfectly in the center console...

Need help with lift kit purchase for 2012 JKU

I’ve heard good things about Metalcloak, but I run an AEV. I can honestly say if I ever start over on another rig, I will not consider anything other than AEV. I drive 80mph down the interstate to the trail head. Soft enough for trails but stiff enough the roll-out on corners is minimal. As...

What did you do to your JK today?

When it was dry to the touch, I hooked it up to my 4-wheeler to spool it in under tension. As soon as it got tight, it started dripping. Like wringing out a rag I guess. I let it sit until it was dry again before spooling. You brought ups good point to post for others. Thansk!

What did you do to your JK today?

Took advantage of a decent day to unspool the synthetic rope and wash the winter road spray off. Hated the thought of all that salt sitting on it. Of course you can't do that without washing the entire jeep. My wife says washing the jeep must be my favorite thing. She should know me better...

    2 1/2” Lift - MetalCloak or AEV

I have the AEV JK 4.5" Dualsport with the high capacity coil springs on my 2016 Hardrock riding on 37's. The ONLY downside I've found is climbing in! I love the ride, handling, articulation...you name it. I can comfortably run 80 mph down the interstate on the way to the trails. (Over 80...
