    Patch or trash?

I was able to get the tire patched. So far it’s held. I was worried that it would be too large. Here is a pic of the chunk of metal that was pulled out. It just happened to hit at the base, if it hit the knob it never would have punctured.

    Patch or trash?

As you see the large piece of metal missed the lug but clearly flattened the tire. Do you think a patch will hold or just eat it and new tire?

    Regear cost

Definitely you got a hook up. I agree there is a lot of stuff I am willing to do, that is way out of my wheelhouse.

    Regear cost

I currently have 3.21 gears and feel a loss now with 35” tires. I want to go to 38” so gears will be addressed. Does this quote seem reasonable? Anything else that should be addressed?

    Questions about P0305 code

Well the bad rocker was found and replaced. Identified a PCV valve that needs replaced, passenger side. Part ordered so will do that this weekend. Otherwise I’ve driven it about 50 miles since the rocker replaced. No more tick and the check engine light hasn’t returned (yet).

    Questions about P0305 code

Today I’m pulling the top half of the engine apart. I have a ticking from the top. Going to replace the rockers and lifters. I’m pretty sure the tick is on the right side (cylinders 1,3,5). Maybe a bad rocker lifter is causing the misfire?

    Questions about P0305 code

I changed the injectors too and no change. I gave up. I tossed almost 1k chasing the light. Like I said I’m just gonna save the money for a swap.

    Questions about P0305 code

1,3,5 are on passenger side. 2,4,6 are on drivers side. If you took off manifold to change you changed 2,4,6. Your light was likely off due to forced reset via battery disconnect. You can try to change the other side and what happens. When I did that last time I had no engine light for almost...

    3.6 Pentastar Misfire on Cylinders 1, 3, & 5

I’m the same. I check all fluids do the maintenance, run scans and look for other signs but if all I have is this intermittent misfire at start up I don’t think it will effect longevity. It’s at 163k so far so…

    3.6 Pentastar Misfire on Cylinders 1, 3, & 5

I’m not trading (I’m sure that’s why the last owner probably did so) I’m just gonna run it till it dies and swap the engine. I’m planning on building this and keeping for a long time. I’ll never get out what I put in but I’ll have fun and make memories along the way.

    3.6 Pentastar Misfire on Cylinders 1, 3, & 5

Yep. Since the misfire only occurs on cold start and disappears as soon as temp is over 150 it’s hard to figure out. Not wanting to toss parts at it. And done paying diagnostic fees for no cure. So I just run the idle high (1500 rpm till 150). Keeps the cel off.

    3.6 Pentastar Misfire on Cylinders 1, 3, & 5

Yes. I get p300 and then (depending on ? ) I will get 301,303,305. Only had all 3 show up a couple times. Usually it is either 1 or 5, if I let it trigger.

    3.6 Pentastar Misfire on Cylinders 1, 3, & 5

I’m curious to see the resolution because I’m still dealing with the same. I have found that so long as I keep the idol over 1500 until coolant temp reaches 150 I don’t get the misfire or the light. But if I don’t do that I get the cel and the misfire that goes away. Not the coils or the plugs...

Misfire 2012 JKU OBD scan files attached

Yes to both. Like I said I can have no code for days then one morning on startup it reappears during warm up. I turn the car off and restart and it runs smooth. The code only gives a P0300, occasionally it will give a 0301 or 0305 (specific cylinder) but again restart, clear codes and good for a...
