Just trying to get an idea of what I should ask for my JKU. If this is the wrong section please forgive me. I can repost elsewhere.

This is my second Jeep, long time member of the Jeep TJ forum. You can verify my long term status over there.

I bought a 2012 JKU with 91k(?) from a tech guy in Santa Barbara. He kept it garaged. But missed getting two recall/warranty items done on the engine (one was the rocker arms). It ran fine. But he was honest about it. I bought it knowing this.

Besides the engine it is in excellent condition. He had it serviced at the dealership.

By 2013 Jeep fixed the engine recalls. So I purchased a used 2014 engine with 30k miles. From a well known Jeep dismantler in KS. And had it installed. As well as water pump and a few other appropriate items. I have full receipts. Verified by Vin and Carfax. The donor Jeep had been well maintained - again verified by Carfax. It just got rear ended and totalled.

So its in very good condition, with 30k on the engine. If I remember correctly less than 100k on the vehicle. I ran some searches and came up with a few ballparks. I have not searched local sold kaitings yet. But I think it's worth somewhere around 20k.

It's got a $3000 roof rack. And new Jeep Gladiator rims and Falkan AW3 off road AT tires. The interior is immaculate.

I also have a new top of the line android head unit. I haven't installed yet. There is also a new android head unit in it now. I just didn't like it. Both are 10 inch touch screens.

I moved to the Phillipines last year. And it's been garaged in El Segundo since. So I'm sort of doing this remotely.

Any thoughts? It's kind of a weird one. Great condition Jeep. I don't think it was off roaded. It's very well maintained. And has a newer, lower mileage engine. Produced after the early model engine problems were worked out.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Probably depends on the insurance company. My nephew's 2016 2dr was just hit and totalled. He had a paint matched hardtop, lift, 35s, aftermarket wheels, ~70k miles, super clean, etc. I believe they gave him somewhere in the neighborhood of $20k give or take. It really surprised me to be honest.

I was talking about the vehicle the engine came out of that I put in my Jeep above.

Got it, misunderstood the vehicle to which you were referring.
