I'm sorry if this has been asked before, Just replaced the Exhaust Manifold, Catalytic converter and muffler exhaust, came with two flange gaskets with the CATs but the manifold is already Flanged so not sure where these go, didn't put them on and now have an exhaust leak somewhere, can't find anything on if the 2008 JK actually needs them. Any help would be much appreciated.

Do you have a photos of the gaskets?

From the factory, on a 3.8L, there are only gaskets between the block and the exhaust manifold. All other connection points are either ball-and-socket style (like between the exhaust manifolds and downpipe/cats) or slip-joints like the pipes to mufflers or extension pipes.

It is possible that an aftermarket setup uses a different style flange/gasket, so posting a photo may be helpful here.
