I have a 2011 Jeep wrangler jk and installed a new/refurbished pcm a month ago and over the last several days I’ve noticed the headlights turn on with no key in the ignition and the doors in locked or unlocked position. The lights will stay on for a minute plus and then turn off. They have done that 8 times now as I sit here and type this post. Does anyone have any thoughts as to what may be the cause of this or what the solution is? TIA

My JKU had an issue with the headlights flickering and turning off for a few seconds at a time. It turned out to be the stalk and that seemed to fix the problem. Grounds and battery cables are always a good thing to check, plus you want to make sure your doors are latching smoothly, and if needed are cleaned and greased appropriately as the door switch is inside the latch itself nowadays. If this issue is fairly consistent, you could simply unplug one of the door connectors at a time and see if the issue goes away.

Thank you your reply and I have checked most of those same things with 1 or 2 exceptions and will check those. I concerns that I have and it may be turn signal lever with also controls the headlights and the turn signal lever has been acting up lately and could be the culprit. As far as the PCM, the first indication was the error codes that I was getting for all 4 O2 sensors were bad and I knew that had to wrong because I had install all 4 new ones and highly unlikely that all would go bad at the same time, long story short…main wire harness had a short and fried that area in the pcm, requiring a refurbished one. All good now.
Do your lights do this at random or do they turn on when you're approaching or in close proximity your Jeep?
