Hopefully someone can help. My Jeep will stall out at a stop sign. Intermittently No electrical hiccups, radio doesn't even stutter or anything. the motor just shuts off, I put it in park starts back up no problems I then put the vehicle in Drive but nothing. Go back-and-forth from Park to drive a few times then it will engage and drive away. no codes but, It almost seems to coincide with when the vehicle goes in and out of Eco mode, but that could be me trying to find things.

Few things when it first happened I noticed the air filter was pretty dirty , so I clean the air filter,(after market air filter) clean the throttle body, replace the sensor between the air filter and the throttle body, as well as the camshaft sensor.

Here is a few things you might want to check:
  1. Idle Air Control (IAC) Valve: If this valve is dirty or malfunctioning, it can cause stalling at idle. Cleaning or replacing it could help.
  2. Fuel System: Check the fuel filter and make sure your fuel pump is working properly. A weak fuel pump could lead to inconsistent power at idle.
  3. Battery and Alternator: Even though you don't have electrical hiccups, it might be worth testing your battery and alternator to make sure they're holding up under load. Sometimes, intermittent issues can stem from erratic electrical behavior.
  4. Transmission Fluid: Make sure your transmission fluid is at the right level and in good condition. Sometimes, transmission issues can manifest this way when shifting from Park to Drive.
  5. Check for Vacuum Leaks: A vacuum leak can cause the engine to stall unexpectedly, especially at idle. Inspect hoses and connections for any signs of wear.
Keep us updated on what you find!

So when it restarts in Park it stays running but the trans doesn't shift to drive? Just want to ensure I'm understanding this correctly.

The problem sounds electrical to me. Possibly a faulty transmission range sensor (or whatever it's called - neutral safety switch, etc)? This is what tells the trans what gear you are selecting.
