Brand new to Jeep Wranglers. The current tires are 245 /75 16R (30.5"). We're not looking at doing a lift but would like some advice on what a good size would be for Seirra Nevada off roads. We want to avoid having to modify the Jeep while also wanting to avoid loosing engine performance.

Would the current size be adequate or would 31" or 32" tires be more appropriate? Or am I over thinking this?

Thanks for any advice!

P.s. not going to be overlanding just some fun 4x4 jeep trails.

Which JK model do you have? Reason I ask is the Rubicon has a different spring set up than the Sport or Sahara models, allowing for a little more clearance. Barring that information, a stock set up will let you go as much as a 33 without issues.
Just remember to calibrate your speedometer to the new tire height.

It's a stock Sport 2D. ...stock suspension, but the previous owner went from 225 75 16R to the 245 75 16R.
