Is it safe to jack up the transfer case by an inch or so? If so, anything I need to loosen or watch out for?
I'm trying to change the transmission fluid in a 2013 JK. I got the pan dropped but there isn't enough clearance to pull out the pan because of the filter and not being able to drop the pan far enough with the exhaust is in the way.
I found this video where he jacks up by the transfer case at the 9 minute mark in the video. I looks like I will need to do this but I am hesitant in doing it without fully understanding what to watch out for to make sure I don't damage the transmission.
