Right front turn signal low voltage

I have a 2011 jk and my right turn signal is getting low voltage. Halogen turn signal will not work but when I plug in a led light it works but is dim. Also the dash displays right turn signal out. Anyone have any suggestions?
 
Ok, original post was me miss-reading the question.

Actual answer: Flashlight and engine bay time. Could be mouse damage that is causing a short.

Easiest solution would be in the signal housing connections. Clean these up and make sure there is no water or junk. Check that the battery connections are secure.

If that fails, do your best to follow the wires back and check for mouse damage. Good luck.

There is no good way to upgrade to LED turn signals in a JK. The lower voltage requirement of LEDs100% will cause hyperflashing, which is built into the system to tell you when your bulb is burned out. On some vehicles you can replace the relay (the thing that makes the clicking noise ) to a LED friendly one, but in JKs this relay is built in and is not replaceable.

As far as the dimmness, most LED light bulbs you buy are complete junk. The light housing for the turn signal is engineered around a bulb that emits light in all directions. LEDs are inherently directional, and the vast majority of LEDs in the Jeep housing will be dimmer.

I think many have tried LED turn signals, only to realize they are horrible. There are practically zero benefits, Just stick with the standard bulbs.
After market LEDs that replace the whole housing will be nice and bright, but unless it includes a resistor to increase the electrical draw, they will still hyperflash. If it does include the resistor, then you loose the hyperflash safety feature if the bulb does ever fail.

Thanks MacGuyver I am going to try and run through all the wires once this Midwest cold front is done. I’ll post what comes out of that.
