Hey there -

Just purchased my first Jeep Wrangler (2018 Gobi JKU) and ordered some 35s and rims.

If I plan to use this as a daily driver with the only off-road action being dirt trails and campsites, would you see an issue with 35" A/Ts on 17" rims with 4.5" backspacing?

I've read so many mixed reviews and am leaning towards installing the tires and rims first, then seeing if a spacer lift would suffice or a full spring and coil lift is needed.

Any input would be greatly appreciated as I look to build out my first Wrangler!

Thanks in advance!

Since a 35 is a taller wider tire if it's put on a wheel that doesn't have enough back space it will hit the control arms when turned all the way. If that happens you'll need to put on wheel spacers to move the tire out farther.

As far as a lift if your just driving on flat roads and not hill or rock climbing you might be able to get by with no lift or just a spacer lift.

Thank you, BLACKJKU!

I went with the 4.5" backspace to avoid the control arm, if it's not enough I'll look to get spacers right away to prevent any damage.

Hopefully will have the new set on by next weekend and will share photos and updates.
