Can I re-install the back seats myself?

Hye!

I recently bought myself a 2011 JK Sahara edition, but the back seats were taken out because of the road taxes are much cheaper here when you take them out.

I was thinking of re-installing the back seats but I was wondering If I can do that myself, or do I have to go to a garage to do that?

actually, you don't even need any tools. the rear seat is the "fold and tumble" seat that is designed to be easily removed and replaced - it has a spring loaded handle that unlocks the front mounting feet to remove it. the rear mounting feet unlock if you fold the seat back down. This is actually a problem - my wife prefers drving with the seat folded down, but then it will "tumble" forward if you stop quickly since the rear feet are not locked. Like many others, I solved that with a short bungee cord. I also have a strap to hold it in the folded forward position, which is handy if you want to load up the back with groceries but the seat is in place.

This is correct.

I will say, it feels pretty heavy because of it being so awkward and hard to get around. I have gotten it in and out plenty of times alone, but it is so much more pleasant with two people.
