So I have kind of a unique situation in that I have a rubicon prorock 44 axle housing and I want to replace the factory Elocker with an Ox to match my rear. I know ox sells a "tru-lock" version of the locker I'm just curious if anyone is running this setup or knows of a reason why this would or would not work?

This one is well above my pay grade. Have you called Dynatrac to ask them? My guess is they can give you a for sure answer right over the phone, whereas all I can do is guess that it will fit.

I'd like to know the answer myself (y)

Well I already bit the bullet so I guess we'll see lol. I'll post info and pics when I assemble the axle.

What gearing are you running? You might need to upgrade to different gearing. Having done mine, I went to 4.56's because of the tire size as the transmission was basically hunting for the right gearing, but now she drives like a champ and pulls the hills easily now with a downshift to 4th from 5th. I had electric lockers from Eaton installed.

I'm running 4.56 as well. I'm just concerned the ox wont fit in the housing. It's the Rubi locker and the rubi housing but all the forums that state what the housing can hold are from 2016 or older and I'm just worried it wont fit properly

Did you check the Axle fitments? Being new to the Jeep world, I learn as I go, but do you have Dana's? I have a Dana 30 front and a Dana 44 Next Gen axle on the rear. You could check the VIN and see what axles were on it.

The prorock 44 is an aftermarket dana 44 housing. VIN wont help me with aftermarket parts.

Well for any of you guys that were curious or considering running an ox after you've already upgraded your rubicon housing it will work but you will have to trim the tabs on the bearing caps for the factory locker so once the change is made theres no going back.
