Alot of issues can cause that problem it's best to jack up the front axle and have someone move the steering wheel back and forth then watch to see what has slop in it. The steering gearbox can also get slop in it but you can tighten the screw on the top to get you by for a while.
A improperly installed lift without the necessary components to be able to a Alignment will cause issues.
Does your lift have adjustable control arms and track bars front and rear?
Might also try moving the front tires to the rear to see if it is a tire probl
I recently bought a 2010 Rubicon 2 door. I have a lot of play in my steering wheel. And it walks on the road a bit. I expected that with 315 75 16 tires. But i believe I could tighten some of the play up. At 70mph it is kind of scary. My question is of i upgrade all the steering components will this fix the problem? And what part outlets are recommended? Or is it a Rubicon and should I understand that its really not a highway vehicle with 34-35" tires? Trying to get the slop out.
Thanks everyone for the info. I got it scheduled for a look at Southern 4x4. Another issue im looking at now....i changed the inlay on the instrument panel. Now gas gauge and speedo are off. Lol. Got a superchip for my speed but gonna try to get it close on the dash.
