Does anyone know what the maximum wheel size you can put on a stock jk tire. I am trying to put some nicer wheels on my 2018 JK and I have the stock all terrain tires. I was looking at a 17x9 wheel but I’m not sure if that’s too big.

By to big are you talking about the width? If so the backspacing and the tire width has alot to do with the wheels you want. Most of the time with larger tires you need to use spacers and also a regear on the axles depending on what gears you have, and a recalabration on the speedometer.

Yes the width is what I’m talking about.

17 x 9 is pretty much the standard aftermarket size. The stock tires will fit on there perfectly, they will just sit a bit farther out.. and look better (imho).

This size wheel will also let you move up in size of tire and width if you so desire. If you are at all concerned post the wheels you are looking at post them here and we'll take a look. Especially since some web sites are not very clear on what you should buy with regard to bolt pattern, backspacing, etc, etc.
