Uh oh! Wrong top?

Ok. Ordered a bestop. Just 1 small problem. The top calls to have a cable tie strap hooked to a mount on the center bow. I don't have any such bracket. Can I just make one and weld it to my center bow? Also how does this affect my sealing? Since my old top had a strip of plastic that wrapped around and sealed the area over the door. As it is, it still better than my old dry rotted top.

Honestly, I would contact Bestop. From my experience, their customer service has been really good. But that was also pre-pandemic. Regardless, they know their tops and the applications well. They may offer a solution via exchange or other.

They will probably still be able to help you out and give you direction. They stand behind that name no matter where you bought it.

Figured out the part number. The eBay one was the wrong one. Went directly to bestop. Got the right one. Started a return for eBay. Same price -overnight shipping. But worth the $78 for overnight.

Ok so in that case I would just delete the cable...I did the same thing with a used top I purchased from offer up....
