Transfer hardtop from an 2008 JK to 2018 JK

I'm looking at moving a hardtop with freedom panels from and 2008 JK to 2018 JK Rubicon. Can anyone tell me if this will work? Thanks!

From what I've read, the footman loop (above the windshield) would have to be moved and the pegs for the freedom panels were relocated on the newer tops, so the corresponding holes won't line up. Sounds like some drilling is in order.

2008 JKU hardtop on my 2015 JKU only issue was rear wiper/ defrost connection.
