I need help. I have a 2016 Jeep that was sitting in idle when all of a sudden the traction control light and check engine light came on. It said it was camshaft positioning sensor so I replaced both of them and the lights won't go off. Any ideas what it could be?

Since you've already replaced the camshaft positioning sensors and the lights are still on, here are a few suggestions to help diagnose the issue further:

Check for Codes Again: Even after replacing the sensors, it's a good idea to scan for trouble codes again. There might be other codes or lingering codes that could provide more insight into what's going on.

Inspect Connections: Ensure that the wiring and connections to the sensors you replaced are secure and free of corrosion. Sometimes a loose connection can cause the system to throw codes even after replacing parts.

Look for Vacuum Leaks: A vacuum leak can cause the engine to run poorly, triggering the check engine light. Inspect hoses and gaskets for any signs of wear or damage.

Resetting the PCM: If everything seems in order, try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes to reset the PCM. This can sometimes clear any false codes and a refresh of the system may resolve the issue.

Other Components: The traction control and engine lights can be triggered by various issues. It could be related to the ABS system, wheel speed sensors, or even an issue with the throttle position sensor.

Professional Diagnosis: If you’re still having trouble, it might be a good idea to take it to a mechanic. They’ll be able to perform more advanced diagnostics that can pinpoint the exact issue.

Hopefully, this helps get you closer to resolving the problem! Let us know how it goes.
