I have a 2016 JKU , I’m planning on buying new tires in the next month. I plan on buying Falken Wildpeak A/T4W 275/70R17 and will be mounted on stock Rubicon wheels. My question is will the spare fit on the stock spare tire mount ok? Thanks in advance…

It will mount but you'll probably have a lot of vibration. I'd start thinking about a heavier duty mount.

Lots of people run 285/70R17s without issue. However, I'm sure it depends on use case. Lots of off road usage and I would look at a mount upgrade. Street only, you'll be fine with OEM.

My JKU had a 285/75 on the back without issue and it's now on my daughter's Jeep. There aren't any vibrations, because I made sure to buy new snubbers and adjust them properly. I do have a Teraflex HD mount to install, but I have little concern about the durability and longevity of the OEM mount as long as the tire is properly supported by the snubbers on the tailgate (my reason for going with the Teraflex was because I got it for free and think I can modify it to get a better fitment for the backup camera).
