Squeaking from rear brakes

I’ve been hearing this rotational squeaking sound from the rear left wheel that stops when I brake. Ideas on what that may be?

My guess is it's time for new brakes, there's a metal tang that rubs on the rotor when the brake pads get to a certain thickness.

Might be a good time to remove the rear tires and inspect the brakes and parts

worn brake pads, loose caliber, rocks, anything that maybe unusual

Yep, my first guess is worn brakes that need replacing.

Same problem about 2 months ago. Pads needed replaced. Easy to do yourself.

I had the same issue, thought it sounded like it was coming from the front, I couldn’t figure out what it was, was rotational & would change pitch or stop when I applied the brakes. Turns out it was the rears, and the rotors are trashed now.
Anybody have any recommendation for brands? And while we’re at it, any recommendation on ceramic vs semi-metallic pads?

I got the drilled and slotted discs from Detroit Axle on EBay. I have about 2k miles on the. And am very happy. They seem to be good quality and I like the drilled and slotted look.
