Here's my little full size to mini spare conversion project.
Didn't like hauling all that weight of full spare hanging off tailgate even though I have heavy duty carrier. I actually feel slight improvement in handling by reduced mass.
Wanted to delete but have a spare when wheeling.
Found mini spare on MP, not really mini, from Cherokee for $25 and used some angle to fab an interior bracket. Connected this to backets that came from PO, looks like from Hi-lift holder.
Tire weight rests on floor, held tightly against seat back. Very secure and happy with results.
Releases in seconds with two nuts.
If I need to change flat I'll throw flat in the back.
