So just found out yesterday that if you have a soft top on your Jeep Uhaul will not rent you a trailer. Its on there web site. Uhaul says this does not effect convertibles.....wtf. Anyone with similar experience?

They won’t let you pull one of their trailers with a soft top! I reserved one to move some parts to storage and they said “Not without a hard top”! I thought they were joking! I wonder if the same applies to other convertibles or Gladiators? Dumbest policy I’ve ever heard of, who makes up these ridiculous rules? Like an1/8th inch of fiberglass overhead makes any difference? A Soft Top is lighter, so I’d think you could pull an extra 10 lbs or so! Can anyone explain?
