New to the forum and would like some advice...
I have a 2012 Jeep Sahara. It has the stock 18" wheels on it. I'm thinking about new wheels and tires. I know this isn't a new concept! But I'm wondering if any one has gone from an 18" wheel to a 16" wheel? I would get a tire that is the overall same diameter so no spedo issue. Thoughts? Softer ride?

If you air down the stock tires some it gives a better ride, and a Load C or passenger tire will give the best ride. If all your going to do is drive on the paved roads you don't need a heavy duty tire.

If you end up with the diameter that is same as stock, you’ll have no issues. If you purchase a C load or D load range tire, even better. Certainly better (so I believe) than an E or F. Keep in mind the unsprung weight you’ll lose too. It does help.

I went with a GoodYear Duratrac tire on my TJ (I know, not a JK) and that’s one of the lightest tires you can get that performs very, very well. Awesome time for dual purpose driving.
