Pulled into the drive last night and Jeep shifter would not go into park . It finally did but when I went to start it the dash said it was still in drive. The shifter would not budge, Jeep would not start. Got under the Jeep the bushing that holds the grommet on from the shifter was gone. They are just crap plastic . Picked up the part and after some cursing and some more cursing got it done. Here is the part just in case anyone runs into the same problem . https://www.autozone.com/collision-...VQDUIBR32Cw3dEAQYASABEgJZQ_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

Had that issue 3 months ago in torrential rain and the jeep was parked on a steep hill what a nightmare you were able to paddle a canoe up the crack of my butt...i put it in drive manually drove it 35 miles home . That bushing is a pain in the nads too put in found a quick solution undo the 2 bolts that hold the cable bracket while doing that put the new bushing in boiling water then it is very soft to push into the cable hole let it cool then push onto the tranny selector
